The Art of Women
Chu Mai Thi
Independent, Vietnam
My name is Chu Mai Thi (Thi Chu). I’m a 20-year-old artist from Vietnam, currently studying at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, Chapman University. I’m fascinated and inspired by any form of art, especially those heavily carrying personal perspectives but also represent bigger purposes. Multiculturism and Women are my two biggest inspirations at the moment, and Art, to me, is an important universal language. I’m seeking ways, and community, to utilize this special means of communication to speak to the world about things everyone seems to neglect due to the limitation of the common verbal language.

This film was a little passion project and it posed new ideas and challenges for me to explore and overcome. This film also couldn't have been done without Hannah Blakey allowing me to follow her artist process.
